The Task Progress Management engine in Fieldmaster's Console streamlines task handling by offering tools for single and bulk task creation, category-based organization, and real-time updates.

Users can visualize schedules with timelines, monitor site visits with VisitCheck, and export task data for reporting. Features like real-time editing and marker multi-select enable flexibility, ensuring efficient task management from creation to completion.

Single Task Creation

Create a single task quickly using the Single Task creation stepper interface. Directly enter the task attributes to get started:

  • Task Title
  • Task Activity: If your category has preset activities, select from the available ones. If not, it can be entered in manually.
  • Location: Enter an address, GPS coordinates, or choose from the map.
  • Mandatory Parameters: Categories can be configured to enforce mandatory parameters for each task. These can be any critical information required for the fieldwork personnel to start the task.
  • Optional Parameters: Add more key value pairs to help the field personnel carry out the tasks.

Certain project categories can be connected with a Datastore to automatically pull the locations and parameters from a central database, given just the task title.

Bulk Task Uploads

Many B2B industries depend on getting their tasks in a spreadsheet from their clients. Our easy Bulk Upload utility allows you to input hundreds or even thousands of tasks into the Fieldmaster System, without needing to adhere to a standard spreadsheet format.

Simply drag and drop or choose your file, choose the correct Sheet, and choose the appropriate columns for:

  • Task Title
  • Task Activity (also supports entering a single activity for the whole sheet)
  • Location (either Lat,Lon can be provided or Address can be geocoded)
  • Mandatory Parameters (as configured in the category settings)
  • Optional Parameters

The utility is also capable of removing duplicates automatically based on options that you select.

Multiple Categories

Managing diverse projects often involves structuring tasks into distinct categories for better organization. Fieldmaster Console allows for a Project -> Category -> Tasks hierarchy, with each project and category able to handle a completely different configuration.

Custom Task Statuses and Completion Rules

For a task that has been visited by a field personnel, define completion statuses for each task, for example:

  • Completed
  • Unsuccessful
  • In Progress
  • Awaiting Stocks

For each of these statuses, you can choose an icon that highlights such tasks on the map or table view, and then configure the rule for when a task should get one of these statuses. It can be as simple and powerful as you want - don't worry, we can do the set up for you.

Export Tasks with Live Status

Real-time reporting is key for efficient project management. With the Export Live Tasks feature, you can easily extract task data to generate accurate and up-to-date reports, giving you the insights you need when you need them.

  • Choose Task Status: Filter tasks by status, such as pending, ongoing, or completed.
  • Filter and Sort: Apply additional filters based on priority or deadlines.
  • Export Format: Choose from a range of formats, including CSV and Excel.
  • Download and Share: Generate and share reports for analysis or meetings.


This feature also provides a seamless export process, ensuring that reports are generated quickly and can be shared effortlessly with stakeholders.

Task Progression Timelines

Task Timelines provides a visual, interactive display of the timeline of progression for a selected task. It keeps an audit trail for every action taken on the task:

  • Task creation
  • Task assignments
  • Task modifications
  • Task visits and completion status
  • Task deletion

VisitCheck Tracking

Field operations rely on accurate site data, and the VisitCheck feature ensures every visit is actually done on site. It provides a Pass/ Fail score to each task:

  • ✅ Pass: The task was carried out at the actual site location.
  • ❌ Fail: The field personnel was somewhere other than the marked site location when the task was carried out.

In many B2B sectors where there is no client interaction and especially those that are inspection based, having this check as a filterable parameter in the final reports is invaluable to ensure that the work gets done correctly.

Instant Task Modifications

In fast-moving environments, flexibility is essential. The Edit Tasks in Real Time feature lets you make on-the-spot adjustments to tasks, ensuring that your team stays in sync without disruption.

  • Locate Task: Find the task you need to modify.
  • Modify Details: Edit fields like descriptions, deadlines, or assignees.
  • Reassign Task: Assign the task to a different user if necessary.
  • Save Changes: Instantly update the task and notify the relevant team members.


The feature also guarantees that all task changes are saved and communicated instantly, so your team can act on updates immediately.

Multi Select Operations

Managing tasks across a broad area is simplified with Marker Multi-Select, using simple rectangular select or any-side polygonal select. This feature allows you to select multiple tasks within a specific area and apply batch actions, saving time and effort when dealing with geographically distributed tasks.

  • Reassign or reroute selected tasks
  • Delete selected tasks
  • Export selected task details to spreadsheets

Multiple select can also be done with filters enabled or even from the table view.

Task Submissions & Edits

Task data submitted from the field is immediately available to the admin. For validations or fine tuning, changes can be made at this stage.

However, granular permissions allow you to configure who can make these changes, or whether changes can be made at all after task submission.
